Mbus Easy CME8i

Application and use

Mbus Easy CME8i is designed to collect data from measuring instruments and other technological devices used in the heat, power and water management industries. Wireless transfer to dispatch (PC, server) or to the Internet is done via GSM-GPRS network. CME8i is designed for heat meters, water meters, electric meters, regulators, control systems and similar devices.

Key features

The GSM module Mbus Easy CME8i is equipped with two independent RS232/RS485 communication interfaces for connection of various devices with the same interface, plus a M-Bus master for 10 measuring instruments. CME8i has also provided two binary-counter inputs for connection of pulse outputs of water or electric power meters. Inputs can also be used as alarm or wake-up signals.

If CME8i power supply is available, it operates in continuous on-line mode In the case of battery operation, sleep mode is available. The module is switched on only at the specified time or if the alarm is activated, thus minimizing power consumption. Therefore, CME8i can operate on battery power for several years. The internal calendar and time synchronization give the module unlimited possibilities. Thanks to compact plastic box design with a wall mount, the CME8i requires no additional installation costs.
