Application and use

In real life we may experience various cases when during the realization of the applicable communication system we need more communication interfaces than those commonly available in radio modems and GSM/GPRS modems Conel. In such scenario, you may use the port expander CDE7, which adds two more RS232 fixed ports, 1x Ethernet and 4 optional ports RS232, RS485, MBUS. The CDE7 may also be used as a converter of user protocols or even as a router in large radio / GPRS networks.

Key features

The port expander CDE7 supports industrial protocols MODBUS, AT modem and many others. Each port is independent and may communicate via different protocol. CDE7 also can provide virtual remote serial ports. CDE7 offers technology OpenVPN for easy and secure integration into Internet. The internal software is based on the Linux operating system.

  • 1x Ethernet 10/100 port
  • 2x communication interface RS232
  • 4x optional interfaces RS232/RS485/MBUS
  • Industrial protocol support
  • Each interface may be connected to a device with a different communication protocol
  • Large diagnostics options - data-transfer statistics, communication via individual serial ports, etc.
